Summoner Myth Gear Vs Allagan (Need some help)

Hey guys im looking for some solid answer on what i should buy/obtain (Myth or Allagan) and in what order to finish off my class


As my current gear stands my Accuracy is only at 423 which is my only issue. I miss occasionally in Coil. I can buy Summoner's Thighboots on Monday which will increase my accuracy by 21 so im pretty sure that's gonna fix me missing every now and then.


Currently i have

Relic +1
Allagan Circlet of Casting
Allagan Tunic of Casting
Summoner's Ringbands
Hero's Belt of Casting
Darklight Legs
Darklight Boots
Darklight Choker
Darklight Earrings
Allagan Bracelets of Casting
Darklight ring of casting
Demagouge Ring


Any input on which order to get the rest of the items would be appreciated and if you have a reason why please share

Use food, don't waste tomes on boots. The accuracy loss to your pet, while an issue, won't prevent you from completing encounters. I'd rather still complete encounters with a chance at a drop, and spend my tomes on actual BiS pieces, or at least pieces that may have a niche use(Belt to use when summoning pet).

Pieces you should avoid getting: Belt, Legs, Boots, Earrings.

Get the ring next. It's a huge upgrade over Demagogue.

Then choker(our only drop off turn 5, and it's BiS anyways), and then fill in where you don't get drops.

i literally just rolled SMN to 50 and getting my relic as i type this in a titan run with my FC and this is extremely helpful information, another question i have for the SMN community is

How important is controlling your pets abilities? I feel like im busy enough already cycling this and casting that

I really enjoy the SMN look from myth gear how MUCH worse is it than the few BiS Allagan pieces? im not so keen on the Allagan look to be totally honest

Unless you really want to spend your tomes, I'd wait until you get the leg drop. If you want to spend tomes, get the legs.

Honestly, you got a bad order of drops. Chest piece is probably the "worst best" piece to get from Coil since it has no accuracy, whereas having Vanya you can upgrade a lot of other things first, while waiting for drops. This Monday I'm finally getting my chest, but I can use food to off-set the difference since I already have allagan ring/legs/AF2 helm.

I'd rather not spend tomes and then get the drop the next week. It's a complete waste of tomes, especially when they could've been used for real upgrades.

Yes, you should fill when you can, but you have to make a decision and be OK with those tomes being wasted. That's why if you can clear the content just fine, you can go with other pieces and have the tomes not be wasted.

You need to manually use Contagion, the AoE, and be aware of the position of your pet.

Allagan, for actual armor pieces that you can see(zoomed out), is only legs/feet.
