I'm hoping the new zones will be bigger, and I can't wait for the area to finally be opened up.

I'm surprised no one else has pointed out that Bahamut is the primal god of the dragons... It's very likely that Ishgard's opening its gates will be tied to the conclusion of the final turn of Coil (assuming the final Coil update will have us face Bahamut).
Updated with a couple more screenshots: 2 Houses confirmed in the game already, 1 ( Monument Tower) being occupied by Rose: House of Haillenarte soldiers. Tower I can't find any leads on atm.
Here's a sneak peek from CE's "Art Of Eorzea Book".
It reminds me a city from FFIX,don't remember the name right now.
Here it looks like a mix of San'Doria & Jeuno from FFXI (upper pics).I love the medieval style!
Thank you for the Pictures! ( I never seen them before!) Updated OP with those Pictures!
Okay the art for those two areas look pretty damn amazing.
Well, Ishgard kind of already did have a music theme in 1.0 - it was called Holy Consult, composed by Nobuo Uematsu, but it only appeared in a couple of story/quest cutscenes involving Ishgardians, as the city itself of course was never accessible (the track appears on the Eorzean Frontiers and Before Meteor albums.)
And you're right that it is very formal and secular sounding, so hopefully, Soken will either retain Uematsu's piece or compose a new theme in a similar style to suit Ishgard's religious setting.![]()

It was, but SE finally clamped down on all the pirated FFXIV music on there so it's been removed. No doubt this is because the whole 1.0 soundtrack is now available for purchase (ala, Before Meteor), which is well worth the price.![]()
