"Connection with the server was lost" - Cerberus

So, I've started having trouble with the game just this evening. I go through the usual login process, inputting password, selecting character, yada yada. All of this goes just fine; it's when I actually get onto the server that the problems start. Even if there are other players on the map, nobody moves. Everything is literally completely stationary, there is no animation whatsoever. I can move around, but I can't talk to NPCs, and about a minute or two after I try, the game crashes and gives me the error in the title: "Connection with the server was lost." The screen goes completely black, except for the box with this error in it. I've tried three times to get the game running, and the same thing has happened every time.

I have never had this issue before today. Nothing has changed on my computer, so I have no idea what's going on, and I'm a bit miffed, to say the least.
