Fantasia Needs To Be Obtainable By Players When They Need It

I think Fantasia is a great idea, but I find how limited we are in receiving it to be an issue. This game has a lot of focus on single character development. When someone has already leveled classes to 50, completed the story, received their chocobo, gained unique items from events, begun grinding tombs for gear, etc. it becomes very undesirable to make a new character and have to do everything all over again simply because you had a change in mind, opinion of your race of choice, or character's appearance. It's also a one time use, so if you decide the changes you made are not the right ones, you are stuck with that. Having them easily obtainable would not cause this to be an issue.

Quite frankly I don't care how we get it. Various ideas have been suggested:

1. Make Fantasia trade-able. This was at least we can transfer Fantasia from new characters to our mains. This also allows Fantasia to be sold on the Market Boards, which adds another way to receive it.

2. Make Fantasia obtainable through Grand Companies for Seals.

3. Sell them for gil somewhere in game.

4. Give them to players every month or every couple of months for subscription rewards.

5. Sell them on the mog station for actual cash. Not as admirable, but I'll take what I can get.

I really feel this is a good option of OCD players like myself. Would very much like to see some addition of this, I'm over the cat craze.

Its a FF thing. it was in FFXI too the devs felt thats it was anti-rpg to be able to change race/sex because it would be impossible in RL so why should it be possible ingame.

the offering of this item was because they added new races/sex into the game and wanted to give the 1.0 fans a chance to pick the new races/sex if they wished.

doubt they'll even sell this item for real money like wow but only time will tell

They've "tooned" up the graphics and sold out the game in every other way. Why not something the players actually WANT?

I'm not pretending it should be, but I do think it should be obtainable when needed. Like if it goes up as a GC item you can purchase with seals, I'm not thinking it should be 1k seals, but more like 20k or more along with requiring a higher rank. A hefty amount. I don't think it needs to be handed out but at least there for when players decide they really want it.

The fantasia does nothing to your characters progression, all it does it let you re-custom your character, all of the suggestions by the OP I think are fine and would like to see it obtainable instead of just from adding onto your sub for one time only, I'd like to re-custom my race if I can at some points but because it's a one time thing I just don't think I'll want to bother all that much, knowing I can re-do it when ever I feel like it for example would make me think otherwise.

The current system of obtaining Fantasia is fine. Frankly I feel you shouldn't be able to customize your character's appearance every few weeks. It makes little sense, in RPG perspective, to be able to change your character's appearance at every whim.

Or maybe some of us have come to know a lot of the regulars on their server by looks and would prefer folks faces didn't go changing on them all the time.
