Only thing I would change is that the record book kept track of which bait caught which fish. Fishing itself is fine as is IMO.
Fine ... then I want to be able to mine, harvest, and chop wood from the same spot multiple times without having to move anywhere. I would also like to always be able to get something out of every attempt, even if its not what I want.Like in mining or botany u pick ur target material that u want to harvest or mine why it cant function that way for fishers let us target pool of fish and pick type of fish we want to from that pool isnt each bait designed to target specific fish i dont see the harm in making small menu and picking desired fish with needed bait to catch it

This argument is beyond ridiculous. Have you even tried fishing?
If I want to gather a specific item through Mining or Botany I can get 100 of said item in less than 20 minutes (even with the tremendous "chore" that moving around apparently is for you). Try doing the same with Fishing even in the few cases where you know that a certain bait will only net you 1 type of fish. Now try getting a fish that requires mooching.
Fisher as it is currently is a pretty lame DoL. GP is useless. No off-hand tool. 1 single ability to use. I won't comment on the usefulness of the fish that we get because I'm still not 50 to get the whole picture.
The fishing log is great, but everything else around this class is pretty lame.
Boring, i want fishing to be akin to the old RPG method. Take Dark Cloud 2 for example
Compared to a real life situation if you were mining or harvesting it would be easy to see a carrot from a turnip or a lump of silver from gold. If you cast a line into a large body of water you can't see what the heck is out there or whether it will like your bait or not, they are fishes : D
Fishing is just fine as it is. Lv 50 fisher here. Fishing is pretty much fine. All it needs really is more fish viable to the AH. In other words more stuff we can sell. Other than that, its completely fine.
