    Serious FPS lag.

It makes it unplayable. At busy times it's just as bad as when the servers are pretty much empty and it's the same in every area. For 2-3 seconds my fps is fine (60-80) and then it starts skipping (20-15-2-4 etc, sometimes it freezes for a second) for about 4 seconds and so on.

    I tried:
    - Updating all my drivers
    - Reinstalling my drivers
    - Every different graphic setting under the sun
    - Applied thermal paste to my processor
    - Running other games, they work fine
    - I checked whether my system can run this game and it should be more than ok

I'm currently at the point where I'm about to reinstal windows to see if that fixes it but you'll understand I'd rather not. Any other game I can run fine though, on high graphics.

What can I do to fix this?

FPS issues have nothing to do with the servers, or your connection to them. If you are suffering major FPS lag than you need to upgrade your equipment.

I am aware there is a major lag issue in the game having to do with routing issues based on player location. But FPS lag is not something anyone but you can do anything about. You either need a better CPU, GPU, more RAM, or all of the above.

The first thing you can do without any upgrades to improve FPS performance is to lower your screen resolution and drop down video settings to minimal. Not all games are optimized for all hardware. Just because you can get other games running smoothly does not rule out hardware issues and incompatibilities.
