Players will get a bonus once per day for the random dungeon finder which I believe means people will not be clicking this option twice a day. I do not believe it will be as helpful as you believe it will be.

News Flash. No one cares if you quit. At all. None of us. Not a single one of us. If you are incapable of using the tools given, and are incapable of making friends to help you then you fail on your own merits. Goodbye.
Wrong Tiggy! I CARE, I care.

people who play an mmo and then complain about not being able to do the entire game solo really grind my gears. If you're not playing with friends (either irl or ones you met in game) then you shouldn't be playing an mmo in the first place.

Too bad. The Final Fantasy franchise has always been known for the stories it tells. When you combine that element with MMOs it's not surprising that they expect you to group up with people to progress through the story. I think it's a good feature personally. Sounds like it's a personal issue if you're not willing to wait out the DPS queue or make some friends to run the dungeons with.

I guess you have horrible luck. My bro just started playing the game 2 weeks ago he has just made it up to level 50 as a DPS. His longest wait so far for any dungeon was 40 minutes. Ive been playing a bit longer but my longest wait time as a DPS has been about an hour. You my friend win the award for the unluckiest dps in the game.

Your only punishing yourself if you want to quit over something so trivial. You get through that and you can have some fun.... But you want to miss out because you can't find some friends, cool. Let me know what awesome game your replacing this one with because I can't think of any.

My buddy decided to quit the game one Saturday afternoon when he waited over 3 hours to enter a story quest instance as a DPS. He was bitching on vent about how ridiculous the wait was.

I had 2 friends quit the game over the game mechanics. One of them just could not stand getting hit when moving out of circles on the ground. He would run out of the circle and just keep on running and BAM, still hit. He said, what is this 1998? F this game. The other buddy found the combat system the most boring thing ever. 2.5 global cooldown and instant attacks taking forever to be instant. He decided to quit when he was trying to pick daisies and his character took a few seconds to even begin picking the things up. Did I pick a mentally challenged character? This is pretty lame.

My last RL buddy quit the game when he was done grinding for his gear. "I have always picked 1 character and class to play in every game. The fun in this game is leveling up other classes? Um, I guess I'm done here then.".

Now I'm all alone and haven't even logged in for 3 days. I guess this is my sign. I hope you guys continue enjoying FFXIV.

Has there been any MMO where you can just enter a group for content in less than 15 mins?

I've played Aion, GW2 and FFXI. And manually building a group always took at least 20 mins. Then an additional 10-15 mins getting ready and traveling to camp/dungeon.

A few other things, If i remember them correctly.

Right now we have Chocobo companions and eventually they will be bringing back the path companion too (Like the Chocobo but its an NPC friend we can call on with a real Class/Job.)

They have also stated they will be "relaxing" the earlier level dungeons as things progress and become more scarce, allowing you to form a party with your companions. IE you and one other person could do a dungeon if you each summon your chocobo. or. you can have both companions out and just need one other person to come with you.

Not sure if these ideas have changed, when they will be implemented or any of that stuff but I do recall something to this effect being said. Sorry I cant find the sources so don't take my word as gospel but I'm pretty sure they will be relaxing the requirements for dungeons, just not right away. Yoshi-P's concept is to keep the story accessable to everyone and that includes taking into account drops in the lower level player base.

Hope to see you re-sub later on when there is enough content and accessibility to satisfy your needs.

PS: They are also going to balance out EXP between dungeons and FATE's so more people will do the dungeons.

As was mentioned during the Letter from the Producer LIVE Part IX, we'll be introducing a feature for the Duty Finder in patch 2.1 that will place you in a random dungeon in order to get people participating in a wider variety of dungeons.

Specifically, we will be breaking down dungeon content into different categories such as leveling dungeons, level 50+ dungeons, and primal battles, and players will be matched for random content. You'll be able to challenge each category once every real-world day and as a reward you will receive each kind of Allagan tomestones. Participants will be matched with priority on content that is lacking members.

Also, in order to strike a proper balance between this plan and the experience points gained by participating in FATE, we will be increasing the amount of experience points gained in dungeons in patch 2.1.
