Nerfing Twintania without prior notice.

Not telling players beforehand that they were going to nerf the twister mechanic has messed with guilds trying for server firsts. The fight has become trivial, making it a sure kill if you spent any time on her pre-nerf. If you didn't have a raid planned the day it was nerfed, you were out of luck.

I am surprised there hasn't been more discussion about this.

Huh, as far as I am aware on the day of the maintenance they said they were nerfing it (might have even been before).

It was the most broken mechanic on a boss in MMO history. Who cares.

If you really care that much, have people watching and a phone tree or beepers or something so that your team can drop whatever real life stuff they're doing and get started immediately. If you wait til a scheduled time, someone could beat you to it.

It may as well be a bug fix. Would you have SE waiting to implement a bug fix in the case it hasn't been announced to players far enough ahead of time? I hope not -- get the better version live ASAP. If some small portion is slightly inconvenienced, then it's outweighed by getting the better version into player hands sooner.

On the other hand, I don't see any harm in announcing it. It's just inconsequential.

who cares? you get server first pre nerf do you know what you get that other players did not. Absolutely nothing of value besides a generic Q&A with Mr. Happy (whos great btw). Is that really upsetting you? DO you really think youre going to get crazy amounts of exposure or some in game item if you are server first?

Lots of guilds are going to be downing Twintania now. Server first is pretty much a irrelevant achievement. As you said the fight is "trivial".
