Agreed Blaise. Well I dont grind my Myth on the mondays, I make one or two AK/WP runs a day to have something to do. Time gates is awful in MMOs, especially ones where we pay a monthly sub. I can understand it to some extent in F2P or B2P MMOs, since it gives the devs some slack on making new content. However and this is a big however, one of those B2P games actually release content with a 2 week gap between each, with enough new content each time to last until the next. Also that same game had tons more to do when you hit max level.
-10 or so dungeons that could be done as "hard mode" on max level or in some cases earlier on.
-BG PvP, nothing spectacular but it worked well since it was cut off from PvE progress. EVeryone was on equal footing when they stepped in there.
-Open world events that actually worked (except for a few mean laggy dragons), not cluster f***s like FATEs are. If you wanna agrue fates are good, I'll just say the allfather's name, Odin...
-A vast world where you could go anywhere at max level and still get things you needed, both for crafting, dailies, achievments etc etc.
-Amazing dye system, compared to the non exsisting in XIV. Why let us craft dyes when we cant die jack at max level?
-Great holiday events, XIV doesnt even come close, feels like SE has no imagination when it comes to holidays.
-Time gated gear progression, even though those items are long term goals, you can even grind for some pieces, which removes some of the gate.
