lack of content:
it feels like im paying to beta test this game still
so many problems, not enough to do. now lets start with hitting lvl 50. yaaaay lvl 50.. not hah u just entered the new beta zone. where we run the same instances over and over to farm tombs to get into coil because of the missin content that comes be for coil (crystal palace) and houseing for crafters and gatherers.. this game has so much less then they planned on releasing said by yoshi him self. and they pushed it back again yaaaaay

broken instances :
Coil t5 our end game content is broken....

wtf are we paying for, for the next few months...
how can we go about some kind of a disscount this game is still beta by the looks of it and wouldent mind knowing how we can go about getting a free month maybe 2 for pushing back 2.1 when it has content that should have come out with the game and for another month..

There is certainly lots to do. You assume there is less content after hitting 50 on your first job. Well, there's more to it than the melee/mage jobs. Crafting and gathering has lots to it. You don't have to spend all your days farming for tomes when you can sit and relax on a job like fishing. After looking at your lodestone profile, you still have lots to do before you are bored. You need to work on getting Mythology or Allagan pieces. On the topic of latency, it's mostly your internet service provider. The servers have been fine for me for the past week.

Here's a suggestion to those out there who are bored: Set goals for yourself.

By the way, Turn 5 of Coil is not broken. About three or so Free Companies completed it. You just have to figure out when to move away from a Twister spot. Well, you bought the game since you must have liked it. And you expected lots of content in the end? Sounds like you rushed to 50 and/or have not spammed Coil every week. The game has been out for like 2 months. Give it time for content.

I agree with the OP. There's next to zero content. Dinging 50 and spamming Praetorium and CM to acquire DL gear was poor and lazy design. Also why do you have a grind for your company? (Twin adder) When the gear royally sucks, and literally the two reasons to buy anything from them is to respect stats, or for crafting bonuses?

It DOES feel like beta test. And it is NOT his ISP, I get perfect results from my ISP on other games, and I lag horribly only on this one sometimes. The very second I start to lag in FFXIV, I alt tab and go to speedtest, and get perfect results, definitely NOT my ISP. Everyone knows it has to deal with the American servers that route information to SE's servers. Canadian, Australian, and some parts of Europe run perfectly, while the USA is having massive issues.

And no one cares if the game has been out 2 months, it isn't like this is the first game to NOT have end game content. Pretty much the biggest reason MMOs fail and become F2P is because of lack of end game content, it isn't rocket science. Aion, GW2, SwToR and countless other MMOs have failed due to it, and if your game is not ready for hardcore players who can achieve max level in 4 days from a level 1 job, you should not be releasing it until you have more end game content, this is known by every company.

Do you even know what goes on with every company? Do you think they just throw a game together, and launch it? They have many phases they go through, and the game would not have been pushed out of beta test unless a vote from many higher ups passed, and they all felt there was enough end game content to keep the game going, which there isn't.

Also, a majority of the population does NOT craft or fish. Personally I didn't spend forever in other MMOs crafting and fishing to come here, and crafting/fishing does not give you access to anything you cannot obtain better otherwise. It's a waste of time, unless you meld materia.

except that this one has been out 3 years failed horribly and came back not much better if at all in fact i would say its worse and will be glad to leave and find something when my 3 months i paid for time is up

does the comment about giving it time apply to those who purchased the game in sept of 2010? i bought it then was too shitty to play and now when i came back to try it again server lag makes it mostly unplayable the times i will be able to play after my vacation is up and before you say it is my ISP i have no lag in the mornings even if i download a bunch of movies and music using utorrent

Just because one has the option of leveling multiple classes to 50 doesn't mean that there is lots to do. In order to achieve the goals one might set for himself with the available content means one will REPEAT the same content over and over to achieve these goals. Do not confuse repeating the same content over and over with having lots to do.

Crafting is almost pointless, an exorcize in tedium, and you will never be able to out farm the bots.
Fighting Titan 100 times is not fun for anyone.
Grinding tombs is not fun for anyone after they have already done AK/WP 10 times each.
Once CT comes out the community will already have Titan and BC on farm making any new content trivial.
And on top of it all is the insane lag issues plaguing like 30% of the community.

This game is going down hill very fast due to lack of content, and server issues. It isnt quite the ghost town that 1.0 was, but it will get there if these issues are not addressed.

Why on earth are you fighting Titan 100 times, or even half that (taking into account gross exaggeration)? Once for each job or a couple times more helping FC members get their Relic Quest completed....that's it.

You have missed the point Sir. The point is it is one of the only bits of end game content available. Not that YOU can do it first try.

There is very little content at 50.

2 dungeons (since the change) that give Myth. 2 Extremely boring 8mans that give nothing but Philo. Neither of the 4 are interesting, exciting or challenging, not even in your 45/50 job set with random crap accessories. The fun and exciting bosses in this game got done with halfway through the levels. Sunken Temple, Vale etc etc. My sub renewal is in a few days and I'm not sure if it's worth another 10.99 Euro really.

Not only are the dungeons repetative and bland, the selection of other 50 activities is very small too. Go out and farm some gathering stuff... oh right, it's time gated, extremely gated at that. Farm mobs... oh yeah in a mid 30 zone. But hey I wanna kill humanoids and get stuff to sell... nope sorry, not in this game. Oh and there is still no PvP and the coming arenas wont be an option either, since WoW inspired arenas are so damn fail. Why no BGs?
