Also make something crazy for those folks who have been crafting 24/7 and have 13 trillion gil. Like they get to buy a physical building, maybe for a company, and then move on.

For every legitimate player that needs shown the money, two just like them need to be shown the door. A great sum of those players are botters who are jockeying for market value when the level cap is raised. You can't really pay them what they're expecting to be paid. Their expectation that they're about to be paid hansomely is the very reason they're acting like that.

Not that they deserve it. I mean anyone can turn on their crafting bot at night and wake up with 4 hours of crafting grind done.

The real solution is to continue in the FFXI tradition and marginalize the utility of gil as a means of achieving status and power in this MMO. Just as the game environment has shifted to smaller teams of friends, the economic environment should shift away from the relevance of being the richest person on the server.

That singlehandedly kills RMT and terrible economic outcomes rampant in MMOs. I'm fine being the shell's blacksmith and goldsmith. I don't need millions and power and status to keep crafting.
