    I've said this before and I'll say it again. Why on earth would I buy your HQ iLVL70 gear when I can perform just as well in Free Darklight gear. Why bother with your materia when my gear doesn't let me use it? Why buy any crafted gear period before I can attain level 50 and get full AF before it even really matters?

    You can't sell to my alts either. Know why? I geared them up before I even beat the story by greeding drops in dungeons. Oh you wanted to sell them HQ iLVL 70 gear? Im sorry I used my philo tomes to get them darklight while I was doing my weekly myth runs.

    Crafting has no real use to battle class players that have any patience.

    This is because people only look for large sells. They want to sell something for 50k a piece. no one really wants to try their hand at selling things in increments of 1k.

    Thats why the market is dead because the only thing selling for 5 and 8 digits are hq and end game craft gear. /SARCASM

    I have a problem with the need for somany Philo mats to craft. While on the one hand it's a great sink for philosophy tome stones for players doing endgame on multiple classes, it's actually makes more sense to spend these on the class Darklight while getting relic weapons.

    9 coke to make darksteel ingots for weapons that can be outclassed in raw stats by a relic supported by 1200 tomes worth of darklight in the same amount of time makes it all feel like a waste.

    I think this is a great idea. It would not only give an option between current high lvl gears so we don't all look the same but also give crafters a more useful role.

    The only reason ive bought crafted gear was largely motivated by fashion reasons (vanya robe looks prettier than DL cowl).
    The way the vertical gear progression works with the game, the only reason to get crafted gear is to dodge the darklight gear look and/or the timesink grinding for it. Thats all it has going for it.

    Grinding a ton of gil for crafted gear is boring, and even more costly to meld, and guess what, its eventually going to be worthless because its so single job focused and youll outlevel/gear that item and have no use for it besides vanity gear.

    SE will have to keep offering better craftable recipes to keep up with new dungeon/itemlevel bumps to keep all the people that bought into crafting and gathering happy

    Reduce the gear from quests (or make it that quested gear is a bit weaker than crafted NQ gear), put some rare mats in dungeons to make some (not all) of the green dungeon gears craftable and bring new crafted gear after ilevel 70.
    If you sub-level a class, that's a good way to go and sell. I crafting things for me Lancer.
    But yeah the first class you do is a free giveaway coz of all the quests. And they are weaker than dungeon drops.
    The system is more like a damn hobby...but it's our only real good way to make money and you must do 2 other crafts to do well in the other craft and it's just a run around really. I have to be a Weaver an Leatherworker and other junk to do all of this lol...It's kinda fun but damn.
    First time I am interested in crafting and they kinda screw-a-roo'd it.
