More voice acting please!

I'm going to pull the "My immersion!" card. Voices for the first few sentences then mute for the remainder ruins it. Either provide voice acting for the entire scene or not at all.

our avatars should be able to talk. SE should have enough money from our subscription fees to hire voice actors for all the races/sex/voice types.

People would complain that the voice acting ruins their character because "my character would never say that". I think it is better to leave the dialogue to the player's imagination.

They should put more in, that'd be nice. But what I wish they would do, is put more detail into these freakin recordings. I mean, there's that CS where all the generals are at battle of carteneau. I mean they are all outside right? Every one of those characters voices sounded like they were in a extremely tiny room. Could they not do some effects to make it sound like they are outside? It just seems extremely lazy to me. Maybe later on with addons or something, players can put together there own versions of these CS, for fun. It wont be that hard to do better then some of these voice actors, and even add some effects to make them sound like they are outside or w/e in the environment, to boot.

Are you going to fund it? i would rather have our sub money being used on the upkeep and the addition of content to the game instead of voice acting, if you want that, go to SWTOR.

Tell you what though, I'll do some voice work for free how's that sound?
I mean.... no offense to any of the amazing voice actors in this game.

After playing SWTOR and going back to wow, then coming to FFXIV. I have to say, if its just the main story high points im fine with that, as they seemingly are voiced now. Anything more is a waste of resources and money on part of the developer IMHO.

Besides I would get really tired of hearing the same voices of people i don't give one hoot about.

Please NO, voice acting in this game is horrendous, I turned all voices off because of it. Would rather just read.

Personally I haven't heard a word of voice acting on my PC so I spent a day on my PS3 and listened to it via the "Neverending Journal". From what I heard I am glad I didn't hear it as the game progressed. Do not need anymore of the same.

While I don't like the idea of guildheist (or any other) NPC voice acting, I would like to see the storyline voice acting completed. Seems like going through the main story only like 5% of my interactions with the main characters were voiced over, the rest was all dialogue. That was disappointing. While the acting wasn't top notch, the character voices grew on me after a while and by the end of the game the voices were a welcome addition to the game. I liked how in FFX even the filler dialogue between cutscenes was dubbed over and I was hoping for something more like that with FFXIV. I hope in the future we see more voice acting for the main characters and I wouldn't mind the guild and job story lines to have voice acting as well. Right now the game feels a bit incomplete with the lack of voice acting given to us.
