Some interaction with them would make slightly less pure cosmetics/trophy things if that makes any sense. FFXI's wyvern responded to your /bow, /cheer and a few others. Maybe have them "cheer you on" if you have them out while crafting and you successfully make something or if you HQ something, lol. That could always be added later on.

Legacy players have a Dalamund minion so i don't see any reason to not have Bahamut aswell.
