Which are the most lucrative professions for Coeurl?

So, now that I have hit 50 I have some time to begin crafting and gathering, but I'm not really sure where to start as I have not interacted with the economy a lot. So far the only thing I have considered buying is the Picatrix of Healing, but there are only a handful on the MB and those that have the materia are pricey.

So, where is a good place to start?

I need to get a gathering profession to level 19 so that I can work with Materia, but I'd like to invest in a profession that I will want to level and will do alright when it comes to buyers and currency. Not looking to be rich, but I do like to make efficient choices.

Based on what you know about our world, and your own experiences leveling, what would you recommend?

I personally like selling food cause is usable and the clients are always the same but you craft 1-2 pieces in weaver to do the same money as a cook where I need to craft like 50 a week.

Its always a personnal choice. And a tip for leveling them. Level all profession to 15 cause they all have usefull cross-crass skill at that level that will allow you to do HQ items with proper gear for your level. And look for Charity Levequest at level 20. They are Levequest that ask you for example (fictif) craft 3 heads of overpower ability and give them to the guy next door. The Charity (list on the net) quest is repeatable 3 time for the same Levequest. Meaning that he ask for 3 items to complete the quest but he will accept up to 3 quest turning (9 items total). And if you turn in HQ items instead you will get +200% xp. So a Leve that give 5k xp will, if in HQ, give 15k xp and if its a charity you can turn it 3 times so a total of 45k xp for a single levequest

My playstyle consist of leveling 9 classes to gather and HQ materials for each other. I'm currently have 8 LV26-33, with Botany at 24.

I pay nickels and dimes for many of my raw ingredients (guild suppliers), the rest come through Mining, Harvesting, and Hunting for materials. After I reached level 15, had those cross class actions, and wore my own HQ gear, HQs were happening as soon as I had access to new recipes.

Focus on recipes crafting your own gear, craft leves, or supplying GC provisions to keep your exp rolling high, especially if you are HQ'ing your recipes. If you oversupply yourself, that's when the markets come in.

If you want just one craft, I suggest go with the one that correlates to your job. For Arcanists, that's Alchemy. Though majority of your materials will need the assistance of Botany, Mining, and hunting to gather materials.

    Pretty Much this^.

Currently, I'm a 50 WAR, I had decided a little while back I wanted to make my own armour. My goal is to be a self-sufficient tank, so my goal for 50's is:
    WAR & PLD
    50 ARM, 50 BSM, 50 CUL,
50 MIN .... and maybe 50 GSM after that. (everybody needs jewellery /le sigh.)

Actually, and if you look up a crafting guide, not only do they recommend 15+ in every DoH, but CUL 37 for SH2. Then, if you're like me, once it's 37, you aren't going to want to stop until it's 50.

GSM / LTW. Every class needs accessories.
