You know, there IS an MMO out already called Perfect World. It still sucks.
"I've been playing MMO's a long time and if there's one thing I've learned, it's that lions do not concern themselves with the opinions of sheep. Just take that little voice in your head that tells you to be tactful and understanding and shoot it...shoot it in the goddamn face."
- SAO Abridged (Ep.2 | 8:35)
i play in the day for a bit and i play at night. when it go's down every other night for 2-4 hours it just blows. At least wow maintenance (as an example) is once a week, set 8 hours and done. This 2-4 hour every other night stuff is really silly. And no, I don't want to play wow, but it's an example of a maintenance style that works. It's a set day, set time. And they don't break it. Once a week, 8 hours, every week. if there's hot fix stuff it's usually while it's still up or it go's down for like 10-15 minutes tops... The maintenance schedule here, well there is no maintenance schedule. They just take it down randomly every other day.
LOL there are tons of people the bitch whine and moan about Blizzard going down for 8+ hours once a week and site that SE does it better with 2-4 hours every few days. It's all a matter of perspective.
There's been maintenance?
♥ East Coast
I hope they never change the maintenance times. Cause they always happen while I'm at work BUAHAHAHAHA!!!!
I realize the OP is being a little dramatic, but for those of you being equally dramatic in response, consider that the 3 hour downtime every other day, regardless of the game's infancy or time involved it's a little obnoxious. I rarely run into the "oh damn, maintenance again!" issue because I'm usually gone by the time it hits, but you can't deny the frequency is a little much. Or a lot much, if those are your prime times. Most MMOs are limited to once a week, for 2 - 5 hours (Tuesdays?) and on occasion, skipped entirely. None of us want a broken game and if it needs to happen it needs to happen for whatever reason we're unaware of. However, if you consider 10 - 15 days out of the month the game is down for three hours, you're looking at roughly a week out of the month the game is unavailable. That's a lot. Because math.
we've had 6 maintenance's in 7 days? haven't noticed 1 of those, SE your doing it right! or i'm not on enough.
Although i have been off all week and played a lot. SE is not gonna change times for maintenance.
$15 a month so basically your moaning that SE has took 50cents (6 days, 3 hours per day = 18 hours of down time there abouts? ) 37.5 cents you've lost to maintain the game, in order for you to have a better gaming experience
Just a thought, if you know maintenance is going to happen (i'm sure we get warning) why not work around it?

Barely notice the maint tbh, due to me being sleep or about to go to sleep when they start.. they take them down at perfect times, not even sure why this is a complaint unless you're one of those people playing 18+ hours a day and standing at the Play button

Your $15 a month is going towards them actually fixing problems with the game. If it were F2P you can guarantee you wouldn't be seeing maintenances this often nor would things be getting fixed.
Sucks that you can't get to play for a couple hours a few times out of the week, but the times they're picking for maintenance really don't impact a lot of players as it's well past the NA prime time for playing. If it bothers you that much you could always stop paying them and stop playing the game.
Sorry, but I like that they are taking an active role in improving the game.
Taking the game down as soon as they are ready to implement fixes is preferable to playing a broken game.
That said, switching up the maintenance window here and there to spread the pain around might be a thing they should consider.
