NPC not responding/Working - Voilinaut - Whitebrim Castle

    Hi there!

Advised by bug report that this needs to go here so!

Area and coordinates: Whitebrim castle, 12:16 NPC Voilinaut
    Steps:
    1.Talk to NPC
2.Nothing happens (cannot speak to NPC or get Leve quests etc)

Unable to speak to this particular NPC, cannot get levequests or anything just the skills bars darken as they would when you speak to someone and then nothing happens.

How long have you waited for the npc to become responsive?

    What are your system specifications?

It sometimes takes npcs a while to initialise fully...

i sat waiting for about 15mins, all the other NPC's are fine and act normally. He was working 2 days ago but not now. I know it isnt system spec related.

Didn't work for me yesterday either and there were a lot of other players around the NPC yelling at him as well. Gotta love Emotes with NPC's haha.

Seriously guys, I play this Game since four weeks and had four problems with NPC's where I had to wait till you guys fix it. It is beyond me to understand how an NPC with a fairly complex dialougue script can stop working so often.

Anyways, since it seems to be the case to happen quite often, please consider extra monitoring for you NPC's. Nothing more annoying than having time to play but no progress is possible thanks to corrupted NPC's.

I do not know how much extra load this would cause on your Servers, but how about a monitoring script for relevant NPC’s that checks whether the NPC has used at least one of his dialogue paths in the last 24 hours. If not, this is indicating that there might be a problem and you can look deeper into it before your support receives a few hundred inquiries and people get mad about it.

I have had this happen with NPC's before and the only way to fix it was to come back later. Not sure if the NPC itself is broken, or if its part of the ongoing lag issue. But I have had this happen with a few NPC's. Mainly the ones in crafting area's tho.
