Are we ever going to be able to put our FC emblems next to our names like in 1.xx?

I always thought it was cool being able to know what LS a person is from by looking at the symbol. They should implement this into ARR...and allow us to repair other people's gear as well

Can we not? One thing I hated about 1.0 was those emblems. They are ugly! Can we please have our pearls back or something else? I rather have a solid color circle next to my name over a badly drawn super tiny emblem.

If I recall they already said no or "no current plans" since it would be like FFXI and FFXIV 1.x and not the style of MMO they're going for with ARR.

Having some means of displaying one's loyalty beyond a silly abbreviation would be nice. I mean, you can have it placed on most head and body armor but it's only for you to see, noone else can see it. Further, it doesn't even show correctly in instances and not at all in voiced cutscenes. A shame, too, it was one of the coolest things of free companies, being able to wear your company seal.

Yeah, I don't think everyone plays zoomed in enough to see that, not only that but they vanish from instances.

the crest will vanish whether it's by your head or on your gear. Information about your free company is not sent to the instance servers. The crest on most body armor is clearly visible without zooming way in.

So they must have done some serious downgrading with how that data is handled, or because of the fact everything goes through instance servers now.

Now let's be honest - Wouldn't it look better by the name? Though I believe you can move the Emblem around as to where it shows up..but quite honestly, you do have to be zoomed in to see it for the most part since how a lot of people actually play you'll most likely only see it standing around mor dohna.

More than likely considering how much stuff people wanted to toggle off in 1.0 lol.

Company emblems are still player-specific. What you see isn't shared with anyone else. Ask someone in your company to put the emblem on their chest or head armor and look at them closely. You're not going to see it. Noone else can but the one wearing it. You should be able to see other people's emblems. That would be a better alternative to what's being proposed, I think.
