For the most part, I'd say your correct if you can keep party members from standing in the poison or backing into adds in the first room. The final boss can be quite a bit more difficult especially if you end up with 2 melee dps in df. Last time I beat her was with to drg and it was pretty rough getting her down and getting rid of the adds. On another note they really need to do something with the loot table in this dungeon. Ive been through locksmith and coincounter numberous times and never seen them drop anything other than pink gear. I thought boss drops were always green but I could be wrong.

Best advice I can give for a SMN (which I just completed a run with a Summoner) is when the boss runs to lay babies, load up on the Bio/Bio2/Miasma and Bane them to the babies. This will help dps them down and hopefully deal enough in time (working with another AoE'r or someone who can hit a few at a time like DRG or MNK) should be able to get most whittled down. if one or two spawn its not the end, just be ready to eat a fruit to remove the stacks.

One thing that *may* work, but not sure of is to use Tri-Diasaster to root the babies in place. This way you can handle them one at a time while tank keeps the boss away from the group. If you do it this way, do not AoE and just single focus each add at a time. This will help reduce stacks as well as keep damage low so healer can focus on the tank. I don't know if it works on the seedlings, but worth a shot. It is doable though, good luck!

Also, glad to know the guide is helping some people. Thank you for the positive comments ^^

Thank you for this guide! I've tried this dungeon 3 times now, and have run out of time every single time. Wipe after wipe on the final boss. I always thought we were doing something wrong, because we BREEZE thru the whole dungeon until we get to the end.

Yesterday I actually came up with the idea to eat fruit right before Miser moves to the centre to spawn adds, cuz I noticed that as everyone was focusing on dpsing the adds we would get Burred and pretty much get wiped. Anyway, I'm glad I was on the right track with that idea!

The only thing I haven't been getting the party to do is make the tank stay at the far end when Miser moves to the centre to spawn adds. Gonna try that tonight and hopefully we get it!

    Thanks again!

One thing I see that is wrong in this guide is that you say you have to eat the eye lazer he targets you with. You do not have to. When he looks at you, if you sidestep, it misses. The sweaping lazer has such long cast time so you have time to get behind him.

    Otherwise very good guide.

Thanks. I cleaned up some of the wording and added a strategy for the first boss for SMN and SCH as that seems to be a strong stumbling block for them.

Good guide! One tip I'll add is for the final boss. If you have a BLM, as soon as the boss lays down the seeds, have the tank attack the boss and hold it so it doesn't move. Then BLM locks onto the boss and spams Fire II. This will hit ALL of the seeds and take them out quickly. (I've only tried this with 1 handed staffs that have faster cast time then the 3+ second 2 handed ones.)

I was able to get the win in 1 trip, but certainly had trouble on the final boss. Took three tries. Only one of us, the PLD, had done the dungeon before, and he didn't remember it very well.

Figured out after a couple tries that I, as BRD, had to handle the onus by dispatching the adds with AoEs. And fortunately I had Invigorate from LNC, which helped. The adds on the final boss were the real problem. On the final try what worked for me was to stop trying to target the adds then AoE, but rather to hit the boss with the AoE and let that spread out to the seeds. Once I tried that we got the win.
