Now here's a quote I can agree with. Jump doesn't add anything to the game, meaning gameplay. So, now you can jump? So what. Also once jump is released it makes sense that the dev team will completely ignore it. In fact, they will probably forget they ever added it, so that future additions to the game like other zones or dungeons will not use jump. Makes perfect sense, and that is why it is in fact a waste of time like Lerris has so eloquently stated.

This too makes sense. Dragoon Jump is a long established ability in my brain too. When I think of a Dragoon jumping it doesn't make me feel uncomfortable inside my jump-free comfort bubble at all.

Most importantly, jump is a "function of travel". People that want to see jump added need to realize that jump is a function of travel. And that's why jump should not be added.

EXACTLY! If it serves no real purpose, then it is in fact a waste of time. Since jumping serves no real purpose, it must therefore be a waste of time. If A is B, and B is C, then A is also C. Obvious.
