


It'd be the same as us being able to see people scale a small cliff. I never mentioned people blinking or teleporting. They wont disappear, they just wont be seen jumping. That's it.If jumping breaks peoples immersion and they hate to see it wouldn't it be worse to see someone just teleport across a small ravine or constantly blink around you? You still have to see them go from point a to point b you just dont see the realistic part of the reaction. I think that idea is not very good thus why it got ignored.
Ok my opinion solely...doesnt the cliff slide look stupid to anyone else? And isnt that immersion breaking and non realistic? To all those saying jump has no purpose, isnt scaling terrain a purpose? and isn't it the only reason it needs initially? Once in fights can be tailored to include it. But for some reason the 1/10th of the population that may bunny hop throws people in to a wild rage. I dont understand it and ive played more mmos then i can even remember at the moment, most of which had jump. I think being able to effectively scale terrain in a realistic manner is reason enough for implementation.

Then again, they also need to consider catering to those who do not want this game to end up being enhanced versions of WoW, PWI, etc. and to be fair, the majority of the people that post here do not want jump to be implemented. At least not right now.
So there really is no point in continuing these Jumping threads, in the longrun, it is up to the dev team and whether or not they want to work on something like this. It will take a long time to add this in, as they'd have to make changes to the maps, and work on the extra animations. Its not so simple.
I'm sure they wont be keeping the way we scale cliffs, they will think of some way of making it look pretty. just not now.
I think you stole my idea; but yes.
If we're going to add jump to the game, I damn well better be allowed the option to turn it off.
As has been said over-and-over, jumping in no way, shape, or form helps a game become more fun; not to mention, that unless a game is literally designed with jumping in mind, it is still entirely useless. So even if jumping ever were to be implemented, you're still not going to be able to get past that invisible wall, period.
