Sounds a bit closed-minded to me, but he did have the sense to not bother buying it rather than buying it and spending his days complaining on the forums about how awful the game is because it doesn't have jump. That sounds reasonable. On the mention of "people don't choose a game because it doesn't have jumping" I am going to quote one of my friends I wanted to play FFXI or FFXIV with,
"oh it doesn't have jumping? What backwater, low grade, useless MMO are you playing that doesn't have a basic feature of jumping? Seriously if they don't have basic MMO things like that they probably don't have a lot of things I want in the game. So no man I am not going to waste my money on that trash, maybe when they implement jumping and add a lot of things I might join."
He is stating it is a basic feature in modern day MMORPG's it add's emmersion, it adds a Y-plane to your character, it adds a lot more strategy to the game, that yes is not currently in the game because they have to implement the feature, aka jump, FIRST before you can even add content that will be dependent on the feature.... You can't use the arguement "oh there is no use for it in the game yet!" there is a lot of things they are adding that "don't have a use for it yet" but those features are being added. It is like all the Grand Company quests They don't have a purpose yet but they will probably in June, yet you don't complain about them implementing them early to start the ground work for future features in the topic.
