Jumping will not make the game better.

Here are some features that will make the game better:

-Campaign type battles
-Besieged type battles
-Ship/Airship Battles
-Puzzle Solving
-Abyssea type system where you get rewards no matter how "casual" or "hardcore" you are.

That's what you call features to make the game better. Jumping? Seriously? That adds nothing to a game. You do NOT join an MMO because you jump, I have never in my 2x years of online gaming heard someone say:


"I WANT TO PLAY THIS MMO BECAUSE I CAN JUMP! ^__^"

Yes by wanting jumping I don't want anything else implemented afterwards right? No. Jumping is part of the package and if they want to implement it with any worth they can't keep putting it off unless they are going to design around it beforehand going forward.

I'm fine with it either way but if they don't want to implement jumping they better get rid of this "hotfix" because being able to run up/down everything without any interaction whatsoever looks dumb. The world is incredibly boring with or without juimping right now and the current terrain system is leading on like it isn't going to change towards XI/Lineage 2 with any sort of depth to it any time soon. My friend and I would regularly be complaining about how WoW copy+pastes everything but this is even worse.

Have you tried /emote motion spam? I do it all the time to annoy my friends. You can even do it while auto running to spam the sfx like /chuckle. Should they get rid of that too?

I'm sorry, but you keep talking about the next generation. JUMPING IS NOT A NEXT GEN FEATURE AND IS NOT NECESSARY FOR A GAME TO BE NEXT GEN!!! What do you not understand about this? Are you really so dense that you can't understand the fact that jumping has absolutely no effect on whether a game is next gen or not? There are MANY next gen games that don't have jump and there are MANY old gen games that DID have jump. STOP TRYING TO USE "NEXT GEN" AS AN ARGUMENT! jeez....

Anyway, jumping isn't necessary, AT THE MOMENT, for anything. If, later, there are some boss battles that could make use of a jump feature, sure, add it, but don't make it free jump. Free jumping, again, does not mesh with this game.
