Everyone that doesn't want jumping is apparently fine with a bland and featureless world.

Jumping will not make the game better.

Here are some features that will make the game better:

-Campaign type battles
-Besieged type battles
-Ship/Airship Battles
-Puzzle Solving
-Abyssea type system where you get rewards no matter how "casual" or "hardcore" you are.

That's what you call features to make the game better. Jumping? Seriously? That adds nothing to a game. You do NOT join an MMO because you jump, I have never in my 2x years of online gaming heard someone say:


"I WANT TO PLAY THIS MMO BECAUSE I CAN JUMP! ^__^"

Yes by wanting jumping I don't want anything else implemented afterwards right? No. Jumping is part of the package and if they want to implement it with any worth they can't keep putting it off unless they are going to design around it beforehand going forward.

I'm fine with it either way but if they don't want to implement jumping they better get rid of this "hotfix" because being able to run up/down everything without any interaction whatsoever looks dumb. The world is incredibly boring with or without juimping right now and the current terrain system is leading on like it isn't going to change towards XI/Lineage 2 with any sort of depth to it any time soon. My friend and I would regularly be complaining about how WoW copy+pastes everything but this is even worse.

You're presenting a contradicting statement. How can you say that nobody plays a game because they can jump, and then make another statement that implies that the only way for a pay to play MMO to see the big numbers they should include a jump?

No, but I've heard plenty of people complain when they find out they can't jump in a game. FFXIV became a laughing stock of the gaming community, and the lack of jump was in the list of 'cons' in bad reviews that did indeed state the lack of ability to jump was a turnoff.
