    Duty Finder and Crafting

Hello everyone. Thank you for the great advice and helpful comments I see. I check this forum out everyday.

Now that I am level 30 I have started to explore other parts of the game more like crafting. I have seen many people say that they queue for a dungeon in the duty finder, and then switch to crafting or another class. Now, if I am a SCH and I sign up for a dungeon in the finder am I still seen as signing up as a "healer" class if I switch to weaving to make the best use of the time? Is there something particular I have to do? I have been afraid of doing this in case I screw up the Duty Finder queue. Thank you!

After you queue up in DF with the class you want to go to duty with, you can without problems switch to any other class and when it comes time for committing, you will be asked to switch back to the class you queued up in DF before you can even accept.
Some people craft, some gather, some level other classes while waiting - no limits for that

The only concern would be with the fact that once the Duty Finder finds a group for you, you have very little time in which to accept it and you'll need to switch to the class you queued with in order to accept. If you're crafting a high-level item that's going to involve lots of steps and the DF pops up as soon as you start, you might not have time to finish it and then switch classes before the DF times out. If you're going to spend DF queue time on crafting, spend it on crafting a bunch of basic materials that can be done within a couple steps.

The same general rule goes for anything else you're going to fill the time with — make sure it's something that you can break off from relatively quickly when you need to.
