The ease of HQing items has its effects reaching into the gatherers market as well, NQ to HQ 2 stars 100% should not be possible.
Leveling the professions is a joke, whenever I get over 50 leves I just spend one afternoon maxing a profession out at 50, it's not like you even work hard for it.
What I find suprising is people still making money off NQs.
The NQs in this game should be a misfortune and doesn't net you any money.
HQ items are pretty much standard.
I think the real problem is how it's way too easy to level crafting to 50.
Realy? Doesn't seem like that for EVERY server.... and there's still lots of HQ markets that need dealing with.
Jeez if your having that problem , move to Faerie, I usually end up making my own HQ items.
can anyone tell me what the problem is here because honestly I am not really seeing one. All I know is if you spend mad amounts of gil to material out your craft set to always get HQ then you sir deserve it.

80 Durability 100% HQ using all NQ materials.
This is my tweaked HQ rotation for 2 Star crafting for 80 Durability only. It has the lowest CP requirement I've seen compared to any other HQ methods. I've written it in macro form so you don't have to worry about remembering the order and can just copy and paste into FFXIV and then just Click 1,2,3 - Easy stuff.

- If you don't have a Lvl 50 Alchemist you can drop "Comfort Zone" from the macro and adjust your minimum requirement of CP to 373.
- If you have lower Control and more CP you can adjust the macro to change Standard Touch to Advanced Touch changing the CP requirement from 359 to 375.
I'm really not seeing all of this "mass HQ synthing" you're talking about. If it's happening, I don't think it's happening on my server.
I find that it is harder to make normal quality items than high quality ones....
As I've posted above, not only is it so easy to HQ 2 star crafts from NQ materials. I can macro to do it :0.
Easy as 1,2,3 I am so skilled~~~
This needs some serious work. Not only is this effecting Crafters, its effecting Gatherers. At the moment there is hardly any difference at all for a super geared Gatherer to sell a NQ material to a HQ material.
