Half the items gathered at endgame are selling for sub 50gil each... hq are barley breaking 100gil. Aka worthless gathering

Most the items crafted are worthless compared to quest/entree level endgame drops. (Relic/Darklite is entree level endgame at this point) <= 99% of crafted stuff is pointless because the game hands out better gear like candy.

Materia is almost worthless due to caps to purposely keep gear subpar. Honestly materia in 1.X was how it should of been done. No idea why they changed it was perfect. Could make crafted gear the BIS but it would cost a small fortune and be based on extreme luck. That is how it should be.

I can make more money going on a fighting class and killing Apkallu and selling eggs or selling potash overtime then I can synthing the stuff and selling it. A fighting class should never make the profits per hour as a crafting class. And before people say gather it and it is pure profit that is 100% wrong. Crafting profits = sales price - taxes - input cost. If you farm all the mats and they are selling for 1000gil on the AH and you sell the item for 1.1k after taxes... you made 100 gil grats. <= people are literally undercutting to this level. People are not factoring in crystal cost and material input cost. Many items l like apple juice are selling for a loss now because of this.

The market is too flooded. There are no barriers to entree. Everything is a joke to level up. Gear is worthless compared to coil drops. SE needs to do a 100% overhaul of the market atm to fix it. Atm from them speaking them do not seem to even understand why it is not working to begin with. With no difficulty, with no randomness, with no barriers for players. There will never be meaningful profits. If there are no decent profits they should just remove crafting and gathering from the game.
This isn't occurring on my server at all. Are HQ level 50 items becoming cheaper? Yes. But that has everything to do with people finishing their gear grind and using Tomes to make money, which is driving the market for things like Potash, Animal Fat, and Coke down. I have personally made a huge amount of money from crafting and gathering, and I know quite a few other people on my server who have had a similar experience.
