It would be cool if we could configure a map marker like in FFXI

I agree, there are too many times where I forget that certain paths are blocked off like in dungeons such as Nanawa Mines. I would like to put a marker to make a note for myselft NOT TO GO THAT WAY lol....
Would be great for farming, NM's, blocked paths, exp camps, blah blah. Yes, Please! (b 'o')b
Why don't our maps just auto learn and mark it off for us. If we adventured there, why should we mark it off. I really hate running into a spot that i know i have been but its blocked off. Quests to remap the maps with blocked off points would be interesting maybe . Probably will never happen though. I really wish we had markers ...

I think a map marker function is downright needed. The sheer size of the world(and fact that they are so much zones as....well.... REALLY MASSIVE ZONES!!!) means having the ability to mark pretty much anything is desperately needed. For example if you find a interesting place you may want to mark it. If you find a particular camp for a certain mob you may want to mark it. If you find a great gathering area and would like to mark the kind of trees there are there. I mean the uses are endless.
I want markers too...but not like FFXI ones...i want a map mask so i can draw on my map (like some legend of zelda games do)...would be awesome being able to draw our markers at maps! ^^
I'd prefer any type of map marker. Like post, its great for marking NM locations, certain landmarks, etc.
