"You need Voice Chat to do Coil"

Words spoken in a video I watched. For me that's not a big deal, as I have both a phone and a desktop. But this has me wondering, if said quote is a requirement, why isn't it in the game???

Why make us have to find work arounds? And what about those who have zero access to said work arounds. Are we to leave them behind telling them to bite the bullet? You might consider telling them to watch the videos. Some of the stuff that's shown in the vids requires precise positioning, and I just can't see many willingly studying the turns as if it were a medical exam. So what's to become of those of us on PS3?

What are your solutions for this? How have you all overcome this problem( can you even do such?)

I use to use my laptop next to me when I play on ps3 and realized its too annoying to have so instead I downloaded TS3 on my Iphone and do just fine.

This is not a problem on anyone's part besides your own.

BTW did you just watch BG's vid of them downing Twintania? There is practically 0 chatter during the boss fight.

There is 0 chatter because they all have done the fight over and over again and near the end commands were barked out which led them to their win.

They didn't talk much, but you also have to realize that they spent A LOT of hours on that fight so most of them have the flow and know the fight encounter like the back of their hand. With my guild, we are pretty quiet until we get to the divebomb phase, then we talk a little more.

They Key word is "practically", there are key times when a voice que needs to be given, that is what voice communication is good for and can make or break a fight. It's an unfortunately reality but it is true. Hopefully, either the PS4 version will have a voice system built in or PS4 will allow multiple apps to be run at the same time, allowing TS or mumble to work with the game.

one solution is to separate your party chat window with your battle chat window. make sure everyone in your party does this so you can see what communications come across w/o having to stop and scroll.

It's not a requirement, it just may make things easier (any more effective way to communicate makes things easier).

It's a requirement for most groups that run coil. It's not a requirement for coil. There's a difference.
