Looking for any new info on the PS3 release schedule.

I don't know about others that play this game, but I have a few friends that are sharing my system to try this game out. They enjoy the game and are looking forward to all the updates but can't afford to purchase a pc just to play this game. At points they are excited to play, but as the hype builds it only makes the uncertainty about the ps3 version release worse. I am just hoping to hear a rough idea of when this version will be released. I for one hope that with the implementation of mounts, companies, etc.. that this game will be attractive enough to those final fantasy fans who are waiting at this point to join us in the game on the PS3. (Although my friends already feel it is and are chomping at the bit to get it released so we can start partying!)

I feel the same. It is very frustrating that Square never talk about the PS3 game. It is E3 next month, we may get an update then. In September the game will be 1 year old and most of the recently announced content will be in the game, what better time to release the PS3 game?

I do think it will come this year and i doubt we will be waiting much longer for a release date.

what do you need to know? there is nothing new, PS3 version was postponed till the game was brought up to code (so to speak) once the game is on par, and they start charging the monthly fee, then the PS3 release will soon follow.

yea i want some news about this too,from the moment that the new team arrived the news about it are nule, and i think is a mistake to leave the ones that are waiting for it like this, we want news even if they are bad ones but news either way , we want to know whats going on

I think September might be on the cards IF they can make it. In an interview Yoshi Was asked how he saw FFXIV on it's 1 year anniversary and he said that it would be when we welcome new players and old players would return. I don't think it will be announced until they are certain they can have the game up to scratch by then just in case something happens, but I think that is the date they are aiming for.

I am playing on PC, but I am in the "barely can run the game" category. And that coupled with the fact I have been playing mostly on console games since 1976, makes me want to know info on a PS3 release as well. Even if its a more vague date like Q3 and not an actual date.
