    Change the Materia system Pls

I really feel like the material system could use some change. for example square should add material slots to the unique gear that you buy using law, poetics and things like that. anyways you should have 3 types of materia one for each(Weapons, Armor, and Jewelry) the materia we have now should be change to armor and Jewelry materia to raise stats. Weapon materia should focus on skills for example you could have a Materia that adds various effects to skills(adds a 10% of slowing the target) or even extend the duration of others(increase the duration of bloodbath by 15 Sc). kinda like a glyph system in some mmo were it slightly changes a skill but does not cause a huge impact is a great way to add variation.Or you could go as far as even adding skills Ex(First aid:Restores a small amount of Health)Something very smalls that doesn't break the game.add more materia with more effects like increase the gill you earn from battle, increase potion potency.

I think your idea has potential, and could go further. Allow me to expand on it:

1 - Different types of Materia:
    - Purple - Stat bonuses (the current Materia functionality)
    - Green - non-stat magic bonuses
    - Yellow - non-stat physical bonuses
    - Red - non-stat summon bonuses
    - Blue - non-stat utility effects (mana recovery, life recovery, etc)
Green, Yellow, Red and Blue Materia do nothing on their own when melded. Instead, they can then be attached to Abilities.

    Example:
    Step 1 - You meld 4 Slots:
    (Purple) +5 Str
(Green) Impact (adds AoE Splash to spell)
(Blue) Overcool (Cooldown on attached skill reduced by 1 sec when you use other skills)
(Blue) HP Absorb Materia (damage with attached skill partially absorbed as hp)
Step 2 - Impact, Cooldown Recovery and HP Absorb become visible in the ability menu.
Step 3 - You attach Impact to Fire, HP Absorb to Blizzard and Overcool to Swiftcast.

2 - As general rule, each Ability can only be associated to 1 Materia.
3 - Materia Slots in gear can have Linked slots (pairs only)
This means if you place a Green and a Blue Materia in linked slots, they can both affect the same ability.
This only works if the linked materia include 1 Blue & 1 Green/Yellow/Red.
4 - Give "set" bonuses for using the specific combinations of Materia (order/position does not matter). A chest piece with 4 Slots might give you:
A bonus for using at least 1 Purple Materia
An additional bonus if you use at least 1 Purple and 1 Blue
And an even better bonus for using 1 Purple 1 Blue and 1 Green.
