Well, considering that a lot of Legacy members ( including myself but not currently using atm) have most to all battle/magic to 50. I think it's safe to say he is still going to do it.

Mid Novemeber, if there is class(es)/Job(s) coming in 2.1, it will most likely be said during the live letter (unless it's one of there Ninja content they don't want to be said XD).

1-50 should stay roughly the same, but levels 51+ should steepen the leveling curve personally.

The way he says it: " Because of Legacy having 50's" Leads me to believe we might be seeing Musketeer in 2.1.
I would very much hope so. They've had to been planning patch 2.1 even before launch. Might not have been the main focus at the time but I'm sure it saw some work. I would certainly hope for a new class in a gigantic patch that has taken some time to do.

I mean, this is in no way Official confirmation. However, in speculation terms with what was mentioned, there sure is a high chance of a class or Job to be pushed into 2.1. Level cap probably not, but he did say he is likely to raise the cap along with new classes or Jobs.

Mid-Novemeber's Live letter should give a bit of light on this matter!

I think this hits the nail on the head. It probably won't be as dramatic as FFXI (where the exp requirement per level something like tripled at 51) but I suspect it will start ramping up quite a bit faster, especially with a smaller number of levels added at once (5-10). I'd thoroughly expect 51-60 to take several times as long as 1-50 does.

Not as long as FFXI (mainly because mobs took longer to kill and the EXP was quite a ways for what you got), but if mobs generally take the same amount of time to kill, then the EXP in FFXI terms should stay roughly the same ( FFXIV lvl 50= 560k?) probably jump to 800k and then go up in 50-100k increments per level?

I also remember reading mentioned that there will be a new faction for Ishgard and to enter you need to achieve a certain standing.

Yoshida has confirmed that Ishgard is coming in the first expansion.

Yeah, did you read the rest of the post? If so, would that not work? I'm not sure at what point in your training you get the title of Samurai, but if you started being taught to become a samurai and your master died, could you not be considered a ronin?

the best guess for the raise of level will be around 2.2 or 2.3 at worst 2.4..
for the class, i guess it will be a scout class first!

Yoshi-p also said at one point the cap would be raised in the first major content patch after launch, which would be 2.1. That obviously isn't going to happen so I take no notice of quotes like the one in the OP until it is announced.
