    Yes, so, you'd have to be a Samurai first, lose the master, and then become a Ronin. You can't become a Ronin without being a Samurai at least once.

    Yeah, did you read the rest of the post? If so, would that not work? I'm not sure at what point in your training you get the title of Samurai, but if you started being taught to become a samurai and your master died, could you not be considered a ronin?
