Thanks for the laugh. I do so love it when people throw the -you don't have a job! line at me.
Do you have a job? because coming home and not being able to play for the day is pretty frustrating and easily a sub killer for me, this isn't even selfish, if anything people unaffected defending them is more selfish.
"I want to play more, i don't care about those losing days of game time"
Not that its really your business, but yes, i do have a job. Tuesday through Sunday, rotating rosters from 5am - 3pm and 11am/3pm - 8pm/midnight. Thanks for asking!
No need to be angry or cheeky about this, calm the hell down dude.
I'm upset because I can't access something I am paying for every 2-3 days because of their terrible maintenance scheduling. If you think that's unreasonable of me then I don't know what to say to you.
Rotate the schedule is a perfectly fine suggestion.
I have a way to fix this, instead of trying to put a whole company on a strange time table to enable you to play why don't you change your working hours. I mean you think it is fine for SE to do it so why don't you do it. That way it only effects you.
The difference being I'm paying Square, Square isn't paying me.
I don't see why you people agreed when Square changed maintenance to suit Americans, but when Oceanic and Graveshift players want something done all of a sudden it's unreasonable.
what...
Like I said, rotation is a perfectly reasonable solution to this problem. I want to continue playing this game, but losing an entire day every 2-3 days will be enough for me to cancel.
i never got angry. I'm a little unsure how you would determine my mood through text.No need to be angry or cheeky about this, calm the hell down dude.

But you do realize that i also pay the same sub you do, right? And that it affects me just as much as you?
And i still think that SE is in the right, and the shut downs are fine.
Now if the shutdowns were just that, a period of time no one can play for no justifiable reason, you might have something to grab onto for a complaint.
But since just about every single shutdown comes with an accompanying fix for one or more bugs, you have no need or right to demand they change the times for these shutdowns.
Does it suck that we sometimes can't play? Sure does! never said it didn't.
I just play something else, like MWO, or watch some anime. The thing is, these shutdowns will cease to be so frequent in the coming months, because the bugs will be fixed and the servers more stable.
You pay SE to be able to play the game, which you can. It isn't their fault your time table doesn't suit. I don't agree to any changes in a companies schedule. I never complained when WoW had their servers drop in the middle of my day, same with FFXI.
This is the first time a MMO's downtime isn't effecting me.

They're consistently hitting me at 11pm, and that's very annoying. On nights when I do play I'll go till midnight. Rotate it around - for fairness for everyone. A global player base means no matter what time is picked someone suffers - so just share the burden on a rotation.

SE isn't a 24/7 company. They might have skeleton crews keeping things running here and there. You honestly expect them to wake up in the middle of their sleep time and do maintenance just so it is fair in your eyes? They're consistently hitting me at 11pm, and that's very annoying. Actually I am sir I just know how most company's work. I get off at 1230am CST from my job in which Maint starts around 1am for me, and ends at like 3-4am usually. I just don't complain about it.Let me guess, you aren't affected by this issue eh? because if you were, you wouldn't be defending them right now.
I understand having to constantly change rosters when Emergency Maintenance is required can be a hassle, but we are paying them for a service. That payment should be included as counter measures for this problem.
If your internet connection kept shutting off every 2 days, would you sit there and say "oh that's ok, I'll let them fix it later" and continue paying the bill? or would you be pretty frustrated and change ISP's?
