    Crafting is too easy. And no real advantage of big good

    I find the craft system is way too easy.

    Anyone can copy strat on forum and make hq 100% with a subpar equipment

    thus HQ dont have any value, and i dont even speak of NQ...

    they need make it more random, and revalue the weight of hq materials, and make equiment worth the time to work on it

    it will boost the gatherer economy, and give more fun at gathering

    Currently, u have almost any use of hq materials

    Also same problem as crafter , gatherer dont need amazing stuff , the room for improvement is really small, making gathering bland and uninteressting

    I hope they re doing this just because its the release and they needed to shorten the gap between new player and legacy

    I dont agree, the "hard part" was the very first 50s in a craft. They didnt have a MB to run to that helps them get HQs.

    It was tough going and now, why its so easy, is because youve maxed it out. The only challenge is cutting corners to make more gil, which is also risky.

    For instance star 1s, if youre a maxed crafter, well geared with decent materia, you still cant guarentee a HQ by using ALL RQ mats. But cutting out some of the more expensive HQ mats, can change your profit drastically.

    They absolutely DO NOT need to make it anymore random. 90% HQ rate failing 5 times in a row, is about as random as it can get.

    I think they need to restrict cross skills. I can use like 9, which means I almost have to be stupid (or very unlucky) to fail an HQ and lose mats.

    so you saying its normal that anyone with all skill can craft 100% hq from nq mat ?

    in 1.0 material was well scaled, since a silver ingot+1 was netting way less than a darksteel plate+1 for example

    now you dont even have to hq intermediate item like darksteel breastplate etc.., just nq it without worry , and start working on your hq on final craft

    It's too easy to HQ because Byregot's Blessing and Hasty Touch (with SH2) is too good. Take away these two skills and see how easy it is to HQ something with 0 quality.

    I totally agree with the Original Poster here. I've been crafting 100% HQ 2 star items for weeks using NQ materials with in game macros. There is no skill involved at all. Just the requirements of having certain skills. What makes it worse if you have only 1 or even 2 crafts levelled to 50, you may as well not list anything in the Marketplace if you can't guarantee its going to be a HQ.

    Byregot's Blessing is too powerful when you know how to use it. And Hasty Touch with Tricks of the trade is in the same boat. These need some readjusting so its impossible to get 100% HQ every time without all the materials also being HQ.

    So not only does this effect Crafters it also effects Gatherers. Crafting in its current format removes the need for gatherers to strive to gain HQ materials as they are not needed. So a new level 50 Gatherer only needs to meet the bare requirements to hit a node and gather the material, having it HQ doesn't really matter anymore. The Marketplace is starting to reflect this and the difference between HQ and NQ is very minor on gathered materials used in level 50 crafting.

    Square needs to do some adjusting. So its impossible to HQ 80 durability items off NQ materials USING a macro.
