Part of Crystal Tower should be on par with T1-T4 or harder.

Like many of you I can't wait for patch 2.1. I love every inch of this game and hope for the best.

I just have one little concern, that Crystal Tower will be a one time clear thing for the story then forget about it. Looking around in my server, many have ilvl90 gear from coil T1, T2 & T4. almost every FC have at least 3 groups whom are clearing T1-T4 easily, one particular FC have 9 groups clearing all of coil except T5 every single week.

On the personal level, I'm very close in completing full BiS ilvl90 gear from both Allagan and Relic AF (setting on enough myth to buy all what I need as soon as T4 drops casting legs).

I honestly don't think there is any FC on my server who needs the ilvl80 gear nor do they even care about it except for those whom like to gear up alts. This might prove to be a problem since Coil update won't see the light for at least 6+ month.

All I wish for is for SE to gives us very good reason to farm crystal tower, a reason to add it to our weekly schedule right next to coil. Please SE do not forget about us whom have been farming Coil for a while now .

I hope so. The last thing I want to do is be able to beat Crystal Tower in a week because of how easy it is. Though, Crystal Tower will be great as a stepping stone to get some of the new FC members to do Coils.

I have a feeling it will be on par with turns 1-4 ( 3 doesn't count lol). Only because Crystal Tower is item level 80 gear. and Turns 1/2/4 has that feeling that it needs item level 80 gear.

Crystal tower is ment to be done before Coil. It was supposed to be out at launch but got heald back.

Totally agree.
However from what I've seen, lots ppl seems to be more interested in the housing system rather than more end game contents.
Maybe they're happy to just go through CT once to see what it looks like, and then spend the rest of time to make money/crafting to build house for their FC.

i think i remember reading somewhere before that more content would be getting added on to CT later on as well.

I think there will still be plenty of reason to run it. The gear will undoubtedly look amazing, it's going to be more fun to see what kind of mechanics and puzzles 3 seperate 8 man groups will need to get past. And it will be a more enjoyable way to help gear up friends than running CM, AK, and WP, over, and over, and over.

How will it be 1 time clear for story? Are you saying you have all lv90 gear on every job you play? CT is duty finder, there's no raid lock on it, and the gear is ilvl80. It will help people gear up for coil more easily, and will help you gear up jobs you don't use as main. Coil = hardcore endgame, crystal tower = duty finder endgame. This isn't for helping hardcore FCs, it's for helping more run of the mill players. The update following 2.1 will expand coil, and the update after that will expand crystal tower. Both groups of people deserve new content.

I hope that is fun/challenging and will be a better place to farm. The other other dungeons were fun but after doing them I cannot even count how many times now I am just sick of them and I still have to get 700 more Tomes of Philosophy for my Relic...ugh!!!! Every night I know I have to get 1-2 runs in or I will not hit my Myth cap either which I need to do in order to get my +1 and my AK1 gear eventually. I hope the CT drops Myth and the gear looks bad ass. I love my DL but I am always looking to upgrade...LOL.

24 man sounds so hectic to me, even doing 8 man groups seemed a little rough in DF. When something takes that much manpower I typically think it will be very easy to compensate for the various type of players/skill that could potentially show up.
