People abusing party in progress option

So lately, whenever I que for AK or WP there is always some idiot who keeps withdrawing from DF. Why? Because they want to join a party that already has cleared most of the dungeon. I lost count how many times it happened to me in the last few days, it really makes it unplayable for me. I'm a DPS and have to wait at least 10 minutes for a party to fill. But do you know what makes the wait even worse? Yeah, the people I just mentioned.

And I'm not talking about them withdrawing a couple of times, no. They can keep doing it for like 10 minutes straight without taking a break. And during that time I can't craft, can't gather, can't do anything because the DF window keeps popping up.

So please, do something about it. How about a time penalty for people who withdraw more than 3 times?

    Greetings,

The development team is aware of the fact that there are some players who will constantly withdraw when you are being matched with players via the Duty Finder. They plan on implementing countermeasures for this to decrease the frequency in which this happens; however, they will not be able to address this right away as there are other wrapped up with other high priority tasks. On another note regarding this, we do not plan on giving penalties to these players who withdraw when you are getting ready to commence due to the fact that there is a possibility that players who do not have malicious intent could be penalized.

We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your understanding.

Couldn't you apply the penalty to a player that withdraws like... 10 times within 2 minutes or something? That doesn't happen "accidentally."

Shame they won't be able to act faster on this. A large population of tanks out there is aware of this "free lunch" which makes the queues pop 10-20 times before you actually find a tank willing to do a full run.

In WoW tanks did the same thing fished for a group that was in progress so they could get their Valor Points done fast. DPS complained about it. So Blizzard eventually took out the feature that showed how many bosses were killed when the queue popped. When I played WoW I was a tank I would also fish for a group that was almost done just because it kind of saved me time. You can't blame people for wanting to get their points done fast.

Its kind of weird now the same thing is happening in FFXIV.

When someone wants to queue for a party in progress, there shouldn't be a window popping up to start a new one. It should wait until someone request reinforcements. Its really not the fault of the person spamming it.

Manipulating the system because you feel the need to be lazy should most definitely be a violation.

Its a shame they won't institute lock timers for these people. If you really have to back out of 3 or more different Q's in a row you should probably get offline and settle your business.

"I don't feel like doing the whole thing so I will waste other peoples time until I get what I want."

    Awesome ...

They should get at least an hour for the first one, second time 2 hours and third time 12 hours penalties.

I think you should just get a 30 second lockout if you decline to take the Duty Finder. I can't imagine why having a 30 second lockout would ever bother me if I had a legitmate reason to decline it, but it sure would slow down the guys abusing the system.
