For those who were thinking of going Au Ra data mining has brought the base stats:
AU RA Starting Racial Stats:

Xaela: 23 str. 20 Dex. 21 Vit. 20 Int. 17 Mnd. 19 Pie.
Raen: 17 Str. 21 Dex. 18 Vit. Int 20. Mnd 22. Pie 22.

Raen would end up probably being a better choice because of slighly higher Piety.

So Raen is the best choice because +3 Int points.

That only puts them in between dunefolk lala and the one miqote that has 19 int 21 pie

Indeed, but since lots of people like myself are going Au Ra, might as well go with the best choice if BLM is main.

Yeah they're both 20INT the number and letter places have just been typed differently on the last 3 stats <_<

edit nvm.. you mentioned 3 extra INT somewhere but it didnt quote it in my post. ninja edit ftw.

thoughts on opening rotation with sharpcast fire -> firestarter? (after thunder) reason is it gives you the fire 1 at the fire 1 casting speed then a free AF1 fire 3 to open into AF3 with... just something I just thought of, I haven't been watching this thread so apologies if it's been discussed already. Looks like sharpcast is an extremely short cd based on the blm vid. Another obvious use for sharpcast would be to use it for the opening thunder if there are two mobs present, and use the proc to start a 2nd dot right away.

So yeah, SE is making their move on turning BLM into a weak class, like in FFXI. Funny thing is, BLM isn't a popular job...not compared to the other DPS classes. lol SE wants everyone to be a melee class XD.
