I don't get why this can be happened in real case. Cos even the unlimited Flare rotation always have at least 2 fire spells before Flare (always in AF), means you will always get UI buff after transpose from Flare in AF.

Dunefolks have an edge over other races because of their Piety. Most-likely 1-2 int won't matter in Heavensward with inflating stats. As for the Piety. The Dunefolk Piety allows them to have a better opener when you have the proper cooldowns available. Basically, stacking your buffs give you an insane burst and their Piety allows them to have 5 Fires in their opener.
We'll see in Heavensward but what if you're 1 Piety short of that 5th fire and flare and my Lalafell isn't? I have a huge edge over you. Of course, we can't say much because all rotations will change but the BLm core rotation should stay the same. You burn your mana until you are oom and go to umbral ice to refresh mana.
I think there will be enough new abilities to eschew our rotation, hopefully. Really don't think I'd stay sane doing the same afk-rotation after learning each new encounter.
My personal wild-ass guess is that the concept will remain basically the same while they introduce some sort of attack chain for us to complete in addition to managing our procs and handling mechanics as needed.

I'm fine with the Astral > Umbral > Astral idea but, it'd get extremely monotonous really fast if they didn't give us more than utility and cooldowns. Let us use our stacks for something. Make it more than a simple concept.
Yeah.... That buff the BLM cast on the benchmark could have been an area that if you stand on it your magic potency increases. That would be extremely good in progression, Scholars tend to DPS. It could benefit Ninjas also and potentially Dark Knights.
Perhaps it'll give us the effects of both Astral and Umbral 3 stacks without the damage penalties associated with them for about 15 seconds. Counter-balance would be to remove our ability to move. That'd dramatically increase our spell speed (Ever accidentally cast a Fire 1 spell under the Umbral 3 stance?), give us essentially unlimited MP and give our Fires/Blizzards their full power. Ohhhhh I hope that is what it is. Our opening would be absolutely insane, and I'd fear for any tanks.
Even if that flare was casted pretty fast. In general, everything was fast forward. They might had a time limit for the videoIt would be really nice to have a spell speed buff but I think having a raid dps utility would be extremely valuable.
Utility will always be valuable, but the more utility we get, the less chance of awesome self-sustaining abilities. Also would probably cause more SMN complaint htreads >.>
Summoners are getting reworked. I'm pretty sure they'll completely change Tri-Disaster.
