Is there any specific race that is a DPS loss for BLMs? Pulled a few races out of a hat, and I'm changing to a... a... cat >.> Am a duskwight now. Will I actually see issues?

Yeah, if you care about losing 2 DPS, changing to a race with less Int will lower your DPS.
I'm a deep believer you base piety matters for BLMs. Wouldn't be able to live without my B3 opener. In the end, it's a personal preference. You could be the other Elezen race (I think they are 22 Int and 21 Piety)
You can use the first sheet chart here: Spreadsheet This assumes you have a Scholar in your party. (It's a really bad choice and it's pretty stupid to solo heal FCoB with 1 WHM anyways. Not efficient.)
Besides that, Sea Wolves and Highlanders make pretty bad BLMs. Duskwights are pretty good if you like opening with Thunder 2. If you look for efficiency, Miqo'tes are pretty dumb and their Int stat is low. Then again, few Intelligence point is a matter of 2-3 DPS. As long you're okay with the fact you start with an handicap. I was a Seeker of the Moon until I changed for the BLM master race : Dunefolk Lalafells.

Could anyone clarify the piety numbers in the spreadsheet for the F6 rotation? It says you need 305. Is that from gear (and base stats) only? is a SCH assumed to be present? a specific type of food?
I added up the total MP cost of F3(UI3) + (F1(AF3) * 6) + B3(AF3) + T1(any) to be 4252, which would require 315 piety. Is the T1 expected to be cast after the first MP tick in UI3? That would make the total cost 4040 (289 piety). I don't see where the 305 comes from.
For the record, the Pie->MP formula I am using is:
MP = 1665.1 + (8.2192 * PIE)
You need 316 Piety to effectively use 6 Fire rotation. At this number, Scholar will give you 9 Piety so you need 307 Piety including buffs. Some people say you need 315, I prefer 316.
Blm isn't my main so I don't care much about the min maxing. I just wanna see if I go balls deep in crit and det with no spell speed to see if I hit like freight train
Highest single attack (outside of echo) that I've hit was a 4600 Flare, with my spell speed set up lol.
That's gonna be hard. Spell Speed is the best single target stat. Crit and Det does have merit in AoE.
Big Parse Videos
That's my current week highest T10 and T12. I don't have a single crafted item and with FCoB unrestricted, my builds are available for everybody. I did 596 on T10 (While getting stunned twice by mechanics, losing a cast because an add smacked my face and losing a cast to LoS) and I did 548 in a T12 of 3 Bennus. You are likely to do higher in T12 is you have more Bennus during the AoE phase.
This is my T10 set : http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/Q941
This is my T12 set : http://ffxiv.ariyala.com/Q940
On a side note, T12 still hasn't dropped my gloves. At this point, I'm starting to prefer 28 Det over 40 Crit. I'm getting pretty upset about it. It is also to take note that at one point, luck does influence big parse. I average 570+ in each of my T10 and 550+ on T11 with my zero crafted builds. I do beleive I won,t be able to top T11 parses because it's a pure single target fight.
If you go full Det and Crit on dummy, you will perform poorly compared to Spell Speed builds.
My highest Flare Crit was with a 130 weapon :< 4967. I got a Crit, Voiced Foe, RS Pot, Trick Attack xD It was on a low Spell Speed build I tried in T13... I think I had 520-530 Spd![]()
Jesus 596 on T10 lol. I thought my 547 was impressive lol.
You use your raging on the pull and then raging on the second set of adds, correct? I use raging on the first set of adds with a potion, and then 1 more Raging with an Int potion rotation later in the fight. Is your way much, much more secure with higher DPS?
I RS + Pot at beginning. Then I RS the adds (I obviously don't LB). Then I hold my potion to get another RS + Pot and we time a second Voiced Foe with my buffs. Ultimately, I could have pushed to ask the Bard to do a regular Foe during my second RS but TP is needed.
I did get lucky on procs. I did get screwed on mechanics also :<< No clue if both actually negates each others.
