Think an Off-Global Cool Down ability (Banish, Death, Penance) that worked similar to Mercy Stroke/Misery's End would break the class? I think it would be a great spell for BLM and SMN would benefit from it as well, if it was a Cross Class ability. Would also be great for Fireweaving without a DPS loss.

Death is a potential spell for BLM as well as Banish for SMN. I hope they will add these in 3.0

The small reward for the literally hundreds of hours for an otherwise sidegrade weapon.

@ Aikaal, i understand but i was talking about weapon only and was simply curious if some blm's have a ss/crit setup and how well it has worked out for them.
I am still very curious about the whole spell/skill speed will affect dots come 3.0

Yes and no. In a ratio 1:1 Det is better than Crit. But quantity beats quality when it comes to det and crit.

Has this been demonstrated lately at high levels of INT (preferably with an i135 weapon)? I've found that the value of Determination is much higher than was extrapolated on DRG and MNK, which ought to make it more valuable on an item than Crit. But I don't have the gear (nor familiarity with the simulations) to test this on other jobs.

Sounds like the one I got few weeks ago. I got 596 DPS in T10 today. I got charged stun twice also, working to upload the video. I also lsot a cast because one hit went to smack my face.

Did 566 DPS in T11 with my 130 no crafted set. Had 2 ninjas and 1 bard tho. I prefer the one I posted to Puro that was 564 with 1 Bard and 1 Ninja.

Did 548 DPS 3 Bennus T12 and I did 530 DPS in T13 since the beginning of the week lol.

Can say it's been pretty fun so far.
