Got 423 last week with HA staff and average i114 (pentameld armors + 120s ironworks + 110 evenstar + shiva bracelet), targeted for charge once, covering charge twice and covering tether twice. Food : HQ Sachertorte

Is there a reason people are using Sachertorte so much? Using my own numbers as a reference Pineapple Ponzecake nets me the same amount of spell speed currently. I suppose technically adding in like 3 Det would be a DPS gain over the 10 piety or whatever it is. Even on the high end when I have all the gear I want though using Sachertorte would only give me one more spell speed. It just doesn't seem cost effective at all. On Cactuar that stuff goes for like 20k for one versus Pineapple Ponzecake being A LOT cheaper.

two fold;

1) Stat advantage - there is a small stat advantage if you have lots of spellspeed. Plus you get extra Det and Vit.
2) Gil - its really easy to make money

Generally, i use ponzecakes during progression, then Sachertorte when i'm making dps pushes.

Would losing 25 crit be worth the poetics gloves? Currently have 487 Crit and 585 Spell Speed currently, but sitting around with this Poe is annoying lol. Since there isn't anything I can think of to buy outside of WHM gear, it's... ehh.

What is a general rotation everyone uses as a blm in an instance? Mainly FCoB.

Im have trouble understanding where I stand as a blm, my fist time in there my dps fluctuated wildly from 340 to 366.

I was targeted and did have to soak for charge and had to get used to this statics positioning and quirks.

But I cant understand how to reliably hit 450+ without food and pots like their old blm apparently could.

I know he has slightly more poetics pieces than me bit not by much. I feel like the gap shouldn't be that high.

My general rotation is F3-t1/2-Rs-fire x 5-SC-flare-convert-fire-t1 (to stop thunder from dropping)-B3-b1-(if I have a FAN proc ill transpose and use it) if not ill t1-F3-etc.

Generally all SC T3 when RS and convert are down and im in my UI phase.

Otherwise ill rs fire SC flare convert.

Where do you use rs? Do you save it for sons and daughters? Or do you save it until after using Mage lb3?

The Poetics gloves are terrible. Don't get them.

Get crafted if you want an upgrade.

Yea, was told the same. Should have the gloves by the nights end. Just irked that many of the pieces aren't really viable unless upgraded to 130 lol. Wallet is crying

You'll probably have to find out most of it yourself. Best thing I can give is tips or such lol.

I do not use my offensive cooldowns until first add set. I stand close to the mark where targeted people stand (for charge) so that I can cast clip into the mark. I save my raging for First adds and use an ether so I can triple flare. After those flares I target the group of adds that the melee aren't attacking and dot them both with thunder 1 (just hit max MP after from transpose Blizz 1) and continue single target rotation before ending back into a flare.
Don't forget about holding procs and utilizing swiftcast or.... scathe.

Makes sense, ill need to make some ethers then, how do youv feel about hq xint pots is it worth it over the flare or no?

And should I opt out for 're melding my belt with piety crit and det? Gloves too?

Right now in nearly full poetics im hanging around 280 det and near520 crit. Ss is around 530 something
