Typo on his part; meant 315 PIE.
XI: Zeroblade, Titan Server
Is this a wise decision regarding a Novus?
Instead of full Determination and Spell Speed, using Determination, Spell Speed and accuracy? I can make up some Determination and Spell speed loss by using the High Allagan Belt of Casting instead of the Evenstar belt.
That could save me a great deal of time for spiritbonding and money for the materia. I'd end up removing the need for most of the grade 4 determination and I'd only need 2-3 Quicktongue 4, which are must faster.
Solid choice, though I would still cap SSPD. Perhaps do 44sspd/16acc/15det. That way you can get a decent amt of ACC and avoid DET IIIs.Is this a wise decision regarding a Novus?

I've got the template worked out for Fire I x 6 rotation. Just need some proposed gear sets to compare. 302 PIE set is fine (yes lazy)

Don't know why no one brought this up before in regards to casting Blizzard 1 before Thunder. This would allow Thunder I, II, and III to be incorporate into the rotation with no PIE requirement (for Fire I x 5 rotation).
Though casting Blizzard 1 before Thunder will cause you to miss out on couple of things:
1. Lose 1 tick (early) advantage chance for Thundercloud proc (if you didn't open with Thunder 3 when boss is pulled)
2. You can't skip Blizzard 1 when first MP tick comes fast, which would net you up to +1.6 DPS overall for T1 (up to +2.4 DPS for T2) and (? for T3). <-- DPS numbers are based on current BiS, but the higher the stats = higher benefits
3. ?
Looks like I'll be adding Thunder 3 rotation column as well as F1x6 :O

The blizzard before thunder was brought up somewhere on the dps forums a few weeks ago in the 251 piety debate, but dismissed for the early tick reason iirc.
A proposed gearset for 470 Acc:
Nexus: 24 PIE, 46 SS, 8 DET (or CHR)
HQ Saur Boots- Crit IV, Crit IV, Acc IV, PIE IV, PIE IV
Evenstar Neck/Ear/Ring
HA for the rest of the slots
HQ Pineapple Juice
This will only work for dunefolk, it takes more PIE for other races, and requires SCH. Built for SS
572 INT, 470 Acc, 445 CHR, 292 Det, 527 SS, 294 PIE

So much shit to update.. you guys are killing me
~80% done, so all new stuff should be up later tonight (when I get more sugar)
Pepper your angus because shit's about to get more real...
Can Manawall or Ward prevent or reduce a percentage of damage received from Lunar Dynamo?
Ward might, but you're better off just positioning yourself near the back and saving it for 2nd meteors, thermionic, or megaflare. Manawall definitely won't, but you want that for double-dives anyways.
Just wonderin, are you asking just out of curiosity, or do you really want to eat a dynamo? You should also remember Nael absorbs health equal to the damage dynamo deals, so even if you mitigate it you're still hurting your group if you take any dmg at all (aka, "I saved time moving and did 900 damage with an extra fire1! I look great on the parser, but since he healed for 1.5k as a result of my extra 900, [obvious conclusion]").
When in doubt, assume sarcasm
