The limit gauge wouldn't work as there are ways to fill the gauge without providing actual contribution- Examples:

- Unequip and re-equip gear to fill it with curing
- Cast bard buff songs. Even when no benefit is being provided e.g. everyone's MP or TP is full, it slowly fills the gauge continuously.
