This!
I was healer in a group a couple of days ago that failed to kill the last boss in WP, basically we weren't able to DPS it down fast enough, both DPS were new to the instance. However, it wasn't for a lack of trying and the tank who had run it umpteen times never once said anything derogatory and simply started again.
To ME that is the epitome of 'MVP' behaviour, most folks can be 'good' when things go well, it's when they go tits-up that they shine. Voting should be on EXIT from the Duty, NOT when thre last boss dies: maybe with the proviso at least the first boss is killed to prevent trivial abuse.

I could be wrong, but I thought they said in the past that votes would be anonymous. You wouldn't even find out how many votes you got till the end of the week when you saw a tally. That's good. One of the community rep posts made it sound like you vote after every boss in a dungeon. If it's only on the lass boss, any threats and whining will be irrelevant. All this will do is make people stay a few mins longer after a DF run to see if they get voted for MVP or not.

And? I never said anything about waiting to see who voted you. I said people would wait to see if they get voted or not. It's like running wp and running to the portal as soon as boss is dead without opening chest and rolling on the loot because you dont care.
in case you missed it.
so this is a non issueCan someone tell me when the Dev say "You will be able to vote at the end of the boss." Does this mean that every boss that is kill in the Dungeon or at the end of the Boss? I really hope the end of the Boss because I can also see abused if it's every boss.
For an example Tanks and Healers.
Tank "I will not Tank if all of you Vote for me."
Everyone "Ok.."
* First Boss down and Tank didn't get vote *
Tank "Why you not vote for me? If next boss you not vote for me, I will just stay here and not go on anymore."
* 2nd Boss down and no one vote for Tank, so Tank just stand there. If there is Vote, he continue.*
Same go for healer, see what I'm getting at here?
Hvinire, did you guys think this through? I could very easily not cast a vote for any players, and thus increase the odds of getting the reward myself. A very simple solution for this would be that any players that dont cast a vote are not eligible to be selected as an MVP.In an effort to address some of your concerns we confirmed some information with the UI team we'll share with you all here:
The MVP vote takes place specifically after a dungeon boss is defeated. The process is entirely voluntary and players can choose not to make any vote at all. It is with this design in mind that we hope players only use the MVP system to reward helpful and exceptional players and encourage users to work towards that goal to receive a vote.
...then again, if a player becomes ineligible what happens to the votes he might have recieved? would the players just revote? *sigh* hopefully you guys thought about all these different scenarios.
eh. which award exactly? you voting for other players had nothing to do with them voting for you. it's not an 'either or'. everyone can possibily get an mvp vote, there is no indicator for only one person being the mvp. it's a personal choice, not a group choice (otherwise it would be silly not being able to vote for friends you queued with, since that can potentially mean a 3-person-group can only vote for the one random person, automatically making them 'the one')Hvinire, did you guys think this through? That's exactly how it will work. If everyone in the party votes for someone else and everyone gets 1 vote, there is no MVP. And yes, if you queue up with 2 friends, your only option is to vote for that one person, or not vote at all. The ONLY thing this system is in place for is to encourage "good" play with strangers to improve the quality of runs with people you don't know.eh. which award exactly? you voting for other players had nothing to do with them voting for you. it's not an 'either or'. everyone can possibily get an mvp vote, there is no indicator for only one person being the mvp. it's a personal choice, not a group choice (otherwise it would be silly not being able to vote for friends you queued with, since that can potentially mean a 3-person-group can only vote for the one random person, automatically making them 'the one')
But you're correct, not voting does not increase the chances of you getting MVP, for anyone to get MVP, they would need at least 2 votes, if 2 out of the 3 people don't vote for you, you voting, or not voting, will not change the fact you won't win that time.

but where does it say that? I understood it differently. if that is the case, then the system is obviously cowdung. (well, not entirely, but a lot worse than just individual voting)That's exactly how it will work. If everyone in the party votes for someone else and everyone gets 1 vote, there is no MVP. Musashidon... First, I am not going to vote for tanks, for anyone that uses the party in progress option. There really is no way to "abuse" this system unless you're saying that going out of your way to help the members of your party is abusing the system (if that is "abusing the system" to you then who cares as long as they are being helpful LOL). Really at this point you're grasping for straws as to why it's a bad idea. They already said the rewards are cosmetic. Please stop making up BS reasons as to why they shouldn't add this. To anyone with a functioning brain you are only embarrassing yourself.
