It's easy to understand.
I want a personal airship.
I want my Corsair back.
I want my Dark Knight back.
What pro-AH people don't understand is that having an AH implemented won't fix anything wrong with this game.

all i got to say is wow
we're not saying something like "i want conjurer to be named black mage"
THAT wouldnt help fix anything at all.
obviously an AH would help the game and make things easier unless we wouldnt be mentioning it like that

well, seems the devs don't look it in that way. And he's said in this same topic:
Rest assured that the team is in the process on stabilizing and improving the current retainer system. Something that I want everyone to keep in mind is that even if we simply changed the current system over to an auction house, that doesn’t mean it would solve all of our problems overnight. There are more things that would still need to be adjusted if that were to happen. As such we aren't currently planning on switching over to an auction house system as of yet.

indeed, thats because the current system works. i dont think that would be argued. its possible to do everything we need in the MW system.
and because of that, they don't feel its necessary to change it.
but the problem isnt that its possible, its about how easy and convenient it is.
Actually, having defined classes (which they're working on) would do wonders for battle strategies. We can't be selective in what we feel would and wouldn't fix the game. How would spending time and resources making an AH system fix the game when they can just work on the already established system that's already similar? The rep already said it won't be an instant fix or anything so people suggesting it clearly seems to think it would be an instant fix or why else suggest it?
Seriously, it's already clear most people are talking about the non-bidding type of AH, so what would be the immediate difference between MW and AH beyond being able to buy from where you search? Both requires category browsing and both have a search system.
