No, because all you say is there are different teams. It's redundant and monotonous.@ shai I gave you examples. read them.

1 the market team ONLY works on the market system.
2 the battle team ONLY works on the battle system
3 the market team CAN NOT work on the battle system and vis versa.
4 the reason is there is different coding and machanics.
is that easier for you to read now? Will you stfu now?
I'll just talk to Bruce and anyone else who wants to actually answer the question.
Thanks for trying, though. You are free to go.

the teams are seperated for a reason as each part they work on is coded differently. They can not work on coding that they are not good at. Get it know?

You want to take this off the forum so I can tell you how I really feel?
Stop replying to me with your useless garbage and let someone who actually knows what they're talking about do it. I asked for game development to be described to me, not an analogy to your kindergarten ant farm.
Carry -the fark- on, Kilta.
If I wanted answers and insults a two year old could provide I have children for that.
I hope you read this before it's modded.

Okay, most of the debate (and invective) has been about what ELSE the team that would be either working on improving the market wards or implementing an auction house would be doing:
What part of the development team do you think is working on balancing the overall economy? I would wager heavily that it's the same team that is working on the market system.Fret not, as the dev. team is well aware of the large, gil-laden purses of the populace. The team knows about the abundance of coinage that fills the markets, and also about the storages filled to the brim with currency! The team knows that inflation is a serious issue if left unchecked and you can bet that they have plans in place to address this in the future.
The trade seems to me to be:You can't have two teams working on improving the economy ... they'd be working at cross-purposes. Also, with option 2, with the imbalanced economy and hampered distribution system in place, adding new items to the game becomes problematic.
- Continue coding efforts to stabilize the market wards, add features to improve market ward functionality, and address inflation issues
- Stop all of that development (or significantly slow it down) in order to completely start over with an 'auction house'
I would rather have a mostly-working market ward system and new content added, then to put it all on hold to wait another six months for some pie-in-the-sky miracle auction house that is supposed to magically fix everything.
For starters, how is an auction house going to address the inflation in the game? How is it going to address the overabundance of items?
It isn't.

No, Amineri, they got different teams.Okay, most of the debate (and invective) has been about what ELSE the team that would be either working on improving the market wards or implementing an auction house would be doing:

You don't understand. Worker ants don't protect the queen.
Therefore battle systems teams don't make economic inflation teams.
The solution is so simple!
(this is a joke, Amineri; but don't worry Kilta won't get it)
I guess my post got lost (or maybe ignored ;-; ) in the shuffle, but the dev team is also looking at the inflation problem, and I'm betting that it's the same team.
So now the choice is : improve market wards and address inflation OR stop all that to start over with an auction house?

the wards are there, the AH isnt at this point
itl take alot of resourdcs to implement an AH, while altering the wards will take very little(improving them)
with much more important things on their plate its obvious what the smart choice is

Yeah that's exactly what I'm getting at.
They no doubt can't afford to implement two teams to work on the economy. It's easier and more cost effective to tweak the wards until the game starts to break even. Then they'll think about the AH or something more innovative when they're profitable.
They should just say that though. "Sorry guys, no AH now, we just don't have the resources to burn. Agree we could have both but we're working on partying and battles as they suck right now."

I agree they should simply say that.Yeah that's exactly what I'm getting at.

Talking around it with mumbo jumbo about priority and considering risk is useless.
