With this method of tanking, you basically avoid every trium attacks, making this fight doable 2-3man as well.
Hope it helps.

I did this in my bikini while in sp... Ohh >.>
But that's pretty cool! Used this technique in an 8 man (single tank). Only problem was melée getting hit instead of me >_<

All except for the person with the quest were extremely overgeared for this fight (and maybe even the person with the quest since I can't see the equipment he/she has.) Although possible, like you've proven here, it's not really something that can really be achieved on a regular environment as everyone who is looking to complete that quest will be using the unfinished relic. I also find a 2 man kinda hard since that would mean a) tank has to take care of the wyvern, meaning you stop spinning and eat Triumvirates, b) healer dpses the wyvern, dunno how that will turn out (again, basing it on a healers who need the quest, not the super overgeared relic+1-coil-relic gear user.)
It actually is doable with a crappy gear. I previously uploaded a video with an even worse setup (2 SCH, one being dead the whole thing) my tank in AK gear with basic relic, and a non-relic BLM.

Reason i uploaded this one is because i dint notice the previous recording had an issue (no sound).
btw, in this video, our gear is nothing special...i have darksteel crap with DL jewelry, the sch has non-melded vanya and AK gear, the smn is in AF and the blm has basic relic with one part of AF2.

Yes you can do it in 8 Man because Trivumvirate has a cast time of 1 sec and by constant turning you can evade it.
But As Kal-El said, doing this in and 8 Mann will get your melees getting killed quick because they eat the nasty stuff instead of you (they need to turn syncron with you and need even to evade tailswipe) and their dps will be suffer by a lot doing this.

Yeah, I based my statement mainly on the weapons since it's hard to discern what the players are wearing with all the spinning. It's cool that it is an option for people who can complete it this way. Hydra can be a pain to do when there aren't many people searching for it, especially at hours that are not peak or near peak.It actually is doable with a crappy gear. More proof that melee dps are usually a liability to take over ranged.
Least ARR gives them the single target Limit so they can get a pity slot.
Huh, I assumed this was just a myth the same as it was with lowbies in FFXI. It still seems mildly retarded even if it does work.

I noticed this my first time in Hydra. I was BLM. My group was dead... I ran circles around hydra while using scathe to finish it off. I must have done 10 scathes before it died.
Will have to try it once i get the PLD job to 50.
I like the part where you ran in circles.
