I can't take it.....I miss my moghouse

Even though there are already thousands of topics being discussed involving increasing the immersiveness of the game, I feel like something along the lines of a moghouse is so incredibly needed. It would give you a sense of home and originality in this all too bland and lackluster world we currently have. Also it allows for the player to feel moreso like they are actually playing a final fantasy game rather than any other cookie cutter mmo. As for having a mailbox I'm not sure on the specifics of why they eliminated it, but I'm guessing it's to avoid gil selling which to that I say gil is already all too easy to obtain so I don't see that as a huge problem. All this being said though, I don't want to just appeal to copy pasting FFXI to FFXIV and just having FFXI with better graphics, so what do you guys think they could do to give the same feel of a moghouse but not replicate it piece by piece?

Aside from jokin around, yes, I miss my mog house. It was personal and fun watching my plants grow and got to lay down on my chocobo hay bed lol.

Well, there is a certain mythology around Moogles that is different in FFXIV... they are mentioned to be "an uncommon sight." So, I'm not sure we'll see exactly the same sort of player housing attendant in XIV, mainly based on how the lore around Moogles is setup this time around. I'd like to see customizable room attendants, similar to how they let you pick a Retainer.

Some sort of player housing will be in the game eventually and I look forward to it.

Mog house was cool and all, but EQ2 did housing better, as far as size, variety, and locations. FFXIV would do better with something to tops that.
