Judging by this comment, you really don't know what you are talking about.
Judging by that comment, he has described every game since ever that involves combat.
So you want everything that XI developed over years of being active in an MMO that was just released a couple months ago...
Seems legit.
Only suggestion I liked were set bonuses on set gear. FFXI was, by large consensus aside from a die hard select few, horrible and a waste. "Drawing" anything from XI except lessons learned would be a tremendous mistake for the long term health of both subscriptions and therefore this game.
Another person who has no idea of what they're talking about going off of some very noisy people who don't like the game. FFXI was received overwhelmingly positively, not by a select few but by a large number. It reviewed very well for an mmo both critically and by community (go ahead and check metacritic). It was an AMAZING game at its prime that certain people did not have the patience to understand.Only suggestion I liked were set bonuses on set gear. Instead of trying to make the game more like FFXI, they should simply add more sandbox elements.
ff11's gameplay was better in terms of challenge and long term. everything was much more rewarding in it, and strangely enough, the combat was alot more fun in it. probably because it actually required timing, strategy and coordinated teamwork, unlike this zergfest failure wowclone system this game has. >.<
Here's a crazy thought, how about they make FFXIV like FFXIV and we drop the constant comparisons.
its because we as mmo gamers are reaching the point where we dont wanna play wow for the 20th time with a different skin, i think its time to shift back to the ff11 or EQ style of gaming. either that or simply end the massive need to make everything easy and pathetic.
